Hi,

I am planning to assemble a new PC.
The Board will be an Asus Z 170 Pro Gaming Boad.

I read already read some posts reagring compatibility and have some questions.
I want to install WIN 10 61 Bit Pro and boot form that disc.

1. Which Version of the disc is more compatible with the board)

I read the NVMe is less compatible. Is that correct?

2. Is the combination ideakl, to get the full speed of this disc?
3. Can I still user other sata drives in my PC, when this disc is installed?

Many Thanks in advance!
Lars

Since you have an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard, I suggest you wait for the brand new Samsung 950 Pro M.2 3.0 x 4 NVMe ssd. It is a consumer ssd with a Samsung 5 year factory warranty. The SM951 is not a consumer model. It is an OEM model that does not come with a factory warranty. It was never meant to be sold directly to consumers.

The Samsung 950 Pro should be available in Europe sometime during the middle of this month; available in Australia during the latter part of this month; and available in the USA around the 5th of next month. The new ssd comes with it's own driver and a new version of the Samsung Magician utility.

The Samsung 950 Pro NVMe ssd is compatible with the new Z170 motherboards. You can still use other solid state drives, hard disk drives, and optical drives with your system. No problem!
