Good afternoon,

Hoping a guru can chime in and help please. My old system HDD wouldn't load windows anymore, stating no system was available to boot. I bought a new HDD and installed Windows 7, but now this old HDD, when connected with a USB SATA connecter, won't stay connected to system. Windows continually says the drive needs to be formatted, which I get the info is RAW and not NTFS any longer, and whether or not I click "No" to format, it just repeats itself, it's as if Windows is constantly trying to identify it.

Is there a method or recovery tool that can alleviate this? I've pulled info off old HDD's using Recuva before, but this is a whole new beast. I'm not entirely sure how to keep it as a recognized drive. I've tried a few tricks with the USB power settings to keep it active, but nothing.

Hoping someone else has run into this issue and can help - thanks!
