Hello, please forgive me if it's not the right sub forum to ask this.

For the arrival of a new CPU, I wanted to updated my Phoenix bios from 6.00 PG to 9.00.
I flashed it by USB and everything seemed fine, did get no error messages and it showed the update bar as should.
But when I checked the BIOS version in windows it showed the same old version. What is going on? I tried to updated to 8.00 with exactly the same result.

The update files where hard to find cos I have an old XFX 780i SLI mobo but I eventually did find my way to their archives and downloaded the P09 BIN file.

I strictly followed the instructions found here and it went just as it said it would. Except the end result.

Well, cpu-z and hwinfo64 are in agreement with the OS.

Where can I find the award flash bios info? All I get by google is some how-to or scamware sites that want to scan my bios (for free..).
At the beginning I wanted to flash from windows. I found the Phoenix utility for that but apparently it doesnt work with BIN and ISO files and those are all that I have.
