Hello everybody. I just upgraded my processor and motherboard last night. I now have an Intel Core i5 4690k and an MSI PC Mate H97 board. I bought the processor for the gaming and overclocking available on the "k" series chips. I got the board because I have had good experiences with MSI boards in the past. The board says on the box that it can overclock and in the BIOS there is an OC Genie button. There is also an Overclocking tab in the UEFI BIOS but all the core clocks and multipliers and so on are locked to "auto" it says that it would work if my processor would support it but I know it does. The BIOS is all up to date and so are all the drivers. Do you know if there is a way to overclock via Windows (Windows 10 Home 64bit)? Or maybe do it through the BIOS? Thanks guys!

H97 or Z97 Mate? Believe you can try OCing the H97 via the BCLK but not the CPU multiplier, that's on the Z97 mobos. The BCLK OC would probably be minimal, and the BCLK OC about everything, so heat is going to go up and can also cause stability problems
