my processor's all four core temperatures are below 32 celsius, but my vcore voltage is running between 0.5 v to 5v. is this normal? processor is not overclocked. bios settings are at default.

Solution
I would update my bios, check the vcore to see if it is at a steady rate (not dropping to 0.59v and spiking to 1.56v), if your voltages are steady and you are not seeing performance issues then I would say HwMonitor is just giving you false readings.

If inside the bios your voltages do drop I would look into your power supply, reconnect all cables, try different HDD SATA slots etc.

No you should be around 1.25v-1.5v. I would not recommend higher than that unless you really know what you are doing (1.5+ would usually be for overclocking). Update your BIOS and check your voltages in your BIOS not a downloaded software program if you did not already.
