I still have my old rig in my room and as it is still performing at a very high level, I'm not willing to throw it away even after I've been using my new 4790k/gtx 970 pc for over a month now. So, my old PC has a Palit GT 610 with 2GB of DDR3 and yesterday my dad brought home from work a brand new/barely used Sapphire HD 6570 with 1GB of DDR3. One of these GPUs is probably going to my granpa's PC (who basically usese it for movies and browsing) and right now I'm wondering which should I keep to myself. The PC can pretty much run any game except for the AAA games from 2015 and it's a pretty good backup for LAN parties and so on. I believe that the cards are pretty similar and the 2GB on the 610 might be an overkill for it anyway, so which one do you think will be better?
The PC specs are: Asus P5B Deluxe, Core 2 Duo E8500 and 5GB of RAM.

Solution
Hi, the HD 6570 is a much better card. It is about 3X faster than the GT 610. The 1GB wont be very different to the 2gb from the 610 and it wont give any performance decreasse. :)

I don't see how your comment makes any sense. I'm comparing a 6570 (AMD) to a 610 (nVidia) which means numbers mean nothing in this case. Second, I didn't buy either of these cards now, I've had the 610 for over 2 years and got the 6570 for free yesterday. I do my research pretty well before buying, and now I was just asking which one of the cards is performing better because they're quite similar according to everything I've seen so far.
