Hello!

First time posting here, and since im trying to build a gaming PC for the first time, need some help. The budget is about 1000 EUR.

From the website of the store i want to buy the PC from (they allow yourself to build a pc from the parts they have and then buy it) i came up with these two options, that work with my budget:

1.
PSU: Corsair 600W, CX V2 series, 12cm fan, 80+
Motherboard: Asrock H97M Anniversary
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 (3.6GHz, 8MB Cache, LGA1150)
RAM: Kingston 8GB, DDR3, 1866MHz, CL10, Single stick, HyperX Fury Black
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970, 4GB, GDDR5, Tiger Edition
HDD : Seagate 1TB, 7200rpm, 64MB, Sata III, Barracuda
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit

2.
PSU: Corsair 650W, CS650M, 80+ Gold, Modular
Motherboard: Asrock H97M Anniversary
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K (3.5GHz, 6MB Cache, LGA1150)
RAM: Kingston 8GB, DDR3, 1866MHz, CL10, Single stick, HyperX Fury Black
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 970, 4GB, GDDR5
HDD : Seagate 1TB, 7200rpm, 64MB, Sata III, Barracuda
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit

Going to throw in a wireless adapter, but that's about it.

Some questions:

1. Are they any good builds to just play games on a single monitor in 1080p, on high/very high (maybe some ultra, but don't care about ultra) settings?

2. Which one would be better and more futureproof?

3. Are the power supplies sufficient for both builds? I'm not thinking of OC.

4. Is it necessary to buy CPU cooler for both builds?

Other than that, I have no questions.
Thank you!

I am looking through them and to be honest I cant tell the difference other than you downgraded to 4690k in build 2. Both are very future proof, however you should probably get a Skylake board a CPU to be the most future proof.

1. Both of those are optimal from Max Settings on a 1440p or 4k monitor depending on the games.

3. Yes, but you can't even OC on a 4790. Unless you got a 4790 'k'.

4. CPU coolers aren't NECESSARY, but if you want to OC on the 4690k, you should get one, and Stock coolers are very loud.

What is your budget and i'll make a 1080p Gaming Future proof build.

There are some games the 970 can't max at 1080p but it only takes dropping a few settings. 1440p the 970 is ok, for medium-high settings and for 4k its far too weak

1. These build are already very good for 1080p 60fps+ Gaming.
2. Both of them better, but i7 will give you upper hand in Video Editing & Rendering
3. 650W is enough for the Build. But avoid that CX650W. Corsair CX & VS series are crap. Get EVGA GS650 650W. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
4. If you don't plan to Overclock then Stock will do the Job. Besides to overclock ,you need a K [i5-4690K] cpu + a Z97 motherboard + a good cooler.

I am not to sure what games you are talking about, maybe Fallout 4 or ARK, but other than that my 750 Ti can max out at 1080p.

Thank you for that list, looked through it and the available PSU's in the store and they offer Seasonic S12 II, 620W, 80+ Bronze, which is in the tier two list, which is probably the only good PSU from that list I can squeeze into my budget. Will this one be alright?

Yes. Your Total System only output 400W max. So 620W is more than Enough. Besides it is Seasonic. You can have faith in this Brand for PSU.

Advanced Warfare, GTA V, Assassin's Creed Unity. Lol my 780 can't max all the latest games at 1080p so you must be playing some old games
