Graphics driver issue

Yesterday, after returning to my computer after about four hours away as soon as I moved my mouse it crashed. It completely froze, and made this occasional screeching noise, but other than that was completely unresponsive. Power button on my pc wouldn't even work.

Upon reboot it got to the "Launching Windows" screen, and stopped. Completely freezing yet again. Another reboot brought it past that screen and to a screen that was completely black. Computer froze again.

After messing around a bit the issue appears to be my graphics drivers. I can boot into safe mode without issue, and if my driver is uninstalled I can boot regularly, albeit with a low resolution. However, if I attempt to reinstall my driver and boot normally it goes back to black screening.

I've tried Nvidia drivers 358.50 and 355.92. I've also tried using the Display Driver Uninstaller before reinstalling.

I don't think the issue is the physical GPU. It is still outputting VGA and is detected by my system without issue.
