use timing settings off of slowest ram and it should work just because they are both 1600 MHz doesn't mean they are the same speed once u throttle one down to the other it should work fine

That simply shows that either set of DRAM and the mobo are suppose to be compatible, not that they are compatible together.... There are no guarantees when mixing packages of DRAM, take a look through the forums it's full of peple trying to mix DRAM and it not working, often times identical sets of DRAM.

Partpicker has it's share of problems ;) another that comes up often is things like not flagging high data rate DRAM as being problematic with low end locked CPUs i.e. saw one rig laid out with a 4460, an H97 mobo and 2800 DRAM, while yes, technically you can prob run the DRAM with that combo best would be at 1600, and who wants to pay a huge premium for 2800 DRAM if it can only run 1600. Have also seen it show Hyper X Fury DRAM as compatible with 775 mobos, which A) 775 doesn't support PnP which is what the Fury run off of, and B) Fury is made with high density memory ICs (chips) which aren't compatible with the the chipsets on the 775 mobos
