I've seen endless responses and solutions to this problem but haven't yet come across anything that's actually worked for me.

After upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1, I have rarely been able to connect to the internet via my PC.

I've tried altering my IPv6/4 DNS server addresses, I've flushed/ renewed and whatever else with the IPconfig, I've uninstalled my anti-virus, ensured my firewalls aren't blocking anything and I've also updated all possible drivers with my motherboard/ network adapter yet still can't seem to connect.

Services like Skype for example do in fact work (which don't require DNS to function), however access to my internet browsers don't.

When diagnosing the network adapter I receive "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS Server) is not responding.

I've tried both a wireless adapter and by using Ethernet but both have the same result. If anyone knows of anything else I can try it would be greatly appreciated!

Hm I'm not too sure to be honest, whatever I do or however I alter the DNS server address - It just always jumps back to 10.20.30.43! Changed it to 192.168.0.1 and some programs started to connect and then it suddenly dropped again

Thank you so much! After changing my DNS back to static, it kept then reverting back to 10.20.30.43.

I searched similar problems of people having it reverted back to 10.20.30.43 and it turns out a program I used to use called ColdTurkey was altering the address back to that every time!

Cheers for your time!:)
