what is mantleo do

I read about it off the AMD website, but I have a game when it launches it ask if I want to launch in mantle or regular. do I need a special monitor to use mantle?

mantle is software for your CPU/APU(actually on die as far as i understand it). If the game/program is programed to take advantage of mantel then say yes. but thats only if your running AMD with mantle on the chip. you'll have to research your manufacture site for your rig.
