I have a Belkin F6D4230-4 v1000 router and I am connected to it via a wired connection. My normal speed without passing trough the router is 100 mb/s and when I am connected to the router is about 30 mb/s no one is connected to the router except me. I've began experiencing this slowdown of my speed about 2 weeks ago before then i had full speed of 100 mb/s.I've called my ISP and they put me to do a speed test without being connected to the router that showed about 100 and a speed test connected to the router that showed about 30 so its a router fault. Please help idk what to do. Sorry for my bad English I'm not a native speaker

Edit:I would also like to mention that the upload speed is bigger than my download speed dl:3 Mb up:5-6 Mb

Man that router is cheap junk, that's great that it was fast but things don't last forever. Just get a new router.

Also gigabit is 1000Mbps, your router is 10/100Mbps. Theoretically it should give you your 100Mbps bit of course in reality it won't. Gigabit routers are cheap, better to over spec then be at the bare minimum.

Your router is not gigabit capable. You can NOT get 100Mbit throughput without a gigabit compatible router. The best you could do is 80Mbit, but it is quite possible that the Belkin does not have sufficient CPU to get that much throughput.

You need a new router. The AC1900 routers are the sweet spot in pricing right now.
