Hey guys, I recently upgraded my CPU from the stock FX-8350 fan to the Arctic Freezer 13. I had to take out the entire Motherboard in order to install the Freezer 13 and I was very careful about putting everything back, even double checked all of the connections but my computer just wouldn't turn on. (Now I think it could be the PSU that's bad and that's because my fan controller (which is connected directly to one of the 4 pin PSU connectors wont turn on at all.)

(My fan controller is the NZXT Sentry 3 5.4-Inch Touch Screen Fan Controller)

Now heres the weird part, I switched the PCI cable that was connected to ATX 12v on the motherboard with the one on the graphics card and the computer turned on, all the fans were working but the graphics card would light up but the graphics card fans weren't turning. I turned the computer off and on and now everythings dead again, I tried switching the PCI cables again but no luck everythings dead.

If it was my motherboard that was bad wouldn't the fan controller turn on since it's connected directly to the battery and not the motherboard? This is my first time building a gaming rig and i'm completely clueless as to what to do now. Sorry for such a long post but i thought it would be better to give more info than less.

p.s. if you have any tech tips please try and put them into layman's terms and thank you for taking the time to respond.

computer specs:
Sentey 750 watt PSU
AMD FX-8350
Radeon R9 390
990FXA-UD3-R5 motherboard

Solution
I believe I figured out the problem, (Knock on wood.) I went to Best Buy and bought another power supply.

(at the time of this edit 10/11/15 1:13 P.M. eastern I was able to buy the Corsair CX750M for 60 us dollars, I was able to get it so cheap cause they priced matched the one on NewEgg for 60 bucks!!! who knew Best Buy price matched with NewEgg!?)

I than hooked it up to the CPU ATX power connector and everything turned on beautifully. So as of right now it was the old PSU from Sentey, now lets hope nothing else goes wrong while I'm reconnecting everything. (again, Knock on Wood.)

P.s. I'm amazed that it was the power supply since the 24 pin connector on the Sentey (the bad PSU) worked but not the 2, 6+2 PCI cables, I thought it...

Wizard!!! I installed the CPU cooler (had to wait for the MX4 to come in.) and I can say that the CPU cooler (Arctic Freezer 13) is working great! At idle it's at 29-30c and while playing The Witcher 3 (While on horse back or fighting a mob) it goes up to 45c. Before with the stock cooler it was at 45c at idle and at 50-55 while on horseback or fighting monsters.
