So now I have an issue with my Intel q6600 hp elite m9040n, everything is stock other then my gtx 760 gpu and ssd. I was getting bsods like crazy so I bought a ssd and switched out my hdd and a new copy of Windows yet I cannot install because I'm still getting bsods saying page fault in nonpaged area. So I'm guessing it has to be due to my motherboard which I have next to no knowledge of compatability. I'm looking for something that is hopefully under 100 and can still have Windows 7 64bit. I'm not looking for a beast or anything just something that would be as good as my stock one. Also I'm not really sure, if I'm changing the motherboard do I need to get new ram or is the ram more likely the culprit?

From Amazon. Well I was getting the same bsod on the old os vista 32bit as well as like 5 other bsods like irql not less or equal and tpsys.sys or something. So all I did was use an ssd that I had laying around and just disconnected my hdd and plugged it in to install Windows 7 64bit and I just tried switching out my gtx 760 to the gtx 260 to see if it was the gpu and after it was loading the files from the windows 7 installation disc it then went to the windows load up screen and it gave me a bsod and said driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. Stop 0x000000D1, netio.sys - address fffff88000c010f9 base at fffff88000c00000, datestamp 4ce79381

Okay... I'm so lost. I just put the gtx 760 back in and now I was actually able to get to the installation screen to install Windows 7 without a bsod which is the furthest I've gotten now but I'm worried to actually go through with the installation since it is a system builder version and I don't know if I'm still going to get bsods during or after the installation and need a new mobo.

Great... Started the installation and 10 seconds after I clicked it I got a bsod. Page fault in non paged area. Stop 0x00000050 (0xfffff800005f250c, 0x0000000000000008, 0xfffff800005f250c, 0x0000000000000002)

Lol that cracked me up about the kittens. I appreciate all the help guys. I had tried to do the memtest that is provided for windows but it would keep restarting near the end. So what I did is go into my computer and remove my ram one by one and attempt at installing windows. And of course it can't be easy I have to remove my gpu each time but last and finally the 4th and last ram stick seemed to be the problem. Once I removed it and placed another one that I was pretty sure was okay in the same colored slot and was able to finish installation and browse around and it's been great so far thankfully. So now, I have to figure out which two that I have out are bad which I'm pretty certain it was the last one that is closest to my hard drives and gets a lot more heat then the others. I will report back if I run into any more problems.

So it seems to have fixed the majority of my bsods. However, My computer froze up when I connected my headset into my computer and I'm now getting random bsods when I start to browse on things like internet explorer or installing software. And for the first time I got a couple bsods saying hardware malfunction and others usually when installing something saying irql not less or equal and finally a bsod with win32k.sys. safe mode on the other hand seems to be working perfectly fine. Could this be due to only having 2.5 gb of ram for a quad core? Or could it be due to an overheating issue or a driver problem

Never mind I got bsod in safe mode while installing ie 10. I'm also now getting random bsods on startup sometimes and when I used startup repair it says it cannot fix it automatically but everything is loading up fine but at the bottom it says error code 0x490.
