Using a GTX 780 with onboard graphics?

I'd like to be able to use my TV as a second monitor for watching YouTube streams and I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to do this.

Currently, I have my GTX 780 connected to my monitor via HDMI. The 780 only has one HDMI port, and my TV only accepts HDMI from a PC.

My motherboard (Gigabyte Z77-UD5H) has an HDMI output. Will the onboard graphics (Intel HD4000) work simultaneously with my 780? As of now, Windows (7 x64) does not detect any connections to the mobo HDMI, so I assume onboard graphics is currently disabled. I don't want to enable it if it's going to cause a bunch of weird conflicts. But if they will play well together, then this seems like the easiest option.

Would it be better to get a DVI to HDMI adapter to run to the TV? Displayport to HDMI? (The 780 has DVI-D and Displayport outputs).

Solution
Yes just get an adapter. Keep in mind only HDMI does audio so you'll need the HDMI to your TV if you want sound to the TV and whatever other input for your monitor providing you don't need sound on the monitor

A Displayport adapter would include audio as well, right?

I've seen a lot written about active vs passive Displayport adapters, with a lot of differing opinions and results. Would I need an active adapter for this configuration?

Well, I don't need audio going to my monitor. But I would like to have regular system audio (on my PC) *and* audio to the TV. I just assumed this was possible but maybe it's not? Anyone have experience with a similar set-up?
(I use the onboard Realtek audio.)

I use my TV and a uab headset. Not all programs let you choose what output device so it all goes to a default device.

Cheap solution if its just for YouTube videos to the TV then buy a Chromecast. $30 and can send your YouTube videos with sound to your TV wirelessly.
