Hi I have a dell dimension 5150 that dose not boot into windows. when I plug the computer in for 3 seconds the computer smells like it is burning by the capiters by the north bridge or is it south bridge , the one with heatsink. The button is stady amber and no video. Please give me answer ASAP

Take it to a reputable service center ASAP. Or send it back to Dell if still under warranty.
The north bridge is the one closest to the CPU. The south bridge is the one closest to the bottom of the board.
