Windows 7 pre-installed..on old laptop.. Now reinstalled on refurbished- same manfacturer

Hi-
I had a old laptop which came with preinstalled win 7. Now that laptop is not working.. So i purchased another laptop - used one. Both are from same manufacturer.
Can I install the Win7 on this one using the reinstall disc from the old laptop, that i received from manufacturer.

BTW i have product key for both laptops from the sticker stuck at the back

If you used a restore disk from one model to another, it may not boot after setup since the drivers would be different. If the disk is basically a base OEM Windows 7 with no drivers, it may work. What you can't do without breaking the license agreement is re-use the OEM license key from the old laptop on the new one. If the second laptop is not working properly, you...
