Hello everyone,
I have a problem with an MSi GTX 560 Ti Hawk i just bought. My old 6870 had died so i had to change it and the 560ti seemed to be a good replacement.
So i plugged it in my computer (i7-2600k, Gigabyte Z68X, 8gb ram, Antec HCG-620), but i do not get any signal on my monitor. If i use the integrated graphics of my cpu i do get a signal and the monitor works fine. I also tried plugging a dvi cable on the graphics card, then waited a little bit, then unplugged the dvi cable and plugged it to the motherboard, and i could see that windows did boot.
So then i tried putting the new card in my brother's computer (i7-920, Intel DX58SO, 12gb ram, CoolerMaster V650) instead of his 6970, and everything was working perfectly. The computer did POST, then booted on ubuntu on an external drive.
I came to the conclusion that the graphics card does work, but i have no clue why it wouldn't work on my computer, considering that my computer was working perfectly fine with my 6870 before it broke...
I searched a little bit on google but i nothing solved my problem. So yeah... what do you think i could do????
