Hi all! Samsung will soon release a new SSD drive 950 Pro. M.2 2280.
My MoBo is Asus Maximus 6 Formula. And i have a few questions:
1) Dose my motheboard supports M.2?
2) If i buy adapter Addonics X110 М.2 SSD PCIe, Can I use this drive? Or i need to buy a new motherboard on Z97 chipset or Z170?...

Solution
1- Yes through your mPCI combo II card (wifi card) , there is a M.2 port on a side and a wifi card on the other side .
but it's for Type 2242 SSDs , not for the new SSD M.2 2280 .
2- Yes you can use that drive , but it will eat up some PCI-E lanes , you can't run that card in SLI 2 GPU setup , it's either the card or the SLI // there will be no problems at all if you are running with 1 GPU only (install the addonics card on the second red PCI-E x16 slot).
