Hi Guys,

Let's start saying that I am super happy with my current setup (after a long struggle to find a non whining 970 months ago) and that I am currently playing at 1080p which I think is plenty for sub 27" screen.

I have got an Intel i5-4570 @ 3.20ghz Haswell however my upgrade internal voice is whispering "Skylake...Skylake" and I was keen in another non K CPU as I do not overclock maybe the new i5 or i7, what do you think?

I do gaming but also a lot of Video Editing hence I was keen to upgrade to i7 and DDR4 memory....however it seems that the gain even to the i5 Skylake (non k) can be as much as 25%.

What do you think?

Yep that was the thought behind...I mean I do not see reason to upgrade my rig for another year or two probably, especially considering how consoles are holding back PC this time with their very old hardware.

However i7 and DDR4 would be a good combination...I am not sure whether I would benefit from a K cpu as I do not overclock, however they come already with higher clock than non K cpu...

Doubts...

Yes your setup is still good to go. I personally would upgrade to the i7/DDR4 if I had the money. As for the K cpu I would most likely buy that as well as I like to overclock and get MAX performance out of anything so why not? Like you said it also comes at a faster stock speed if you don't want to overclock but when it comes down to the extra money spent vs how much performance you will actually see it is not much.
