Hello,

I just bought a new processor AMD FX-6300. And after like 3 weeks of using. I randomly got a Blue Screen. But before, I had a low FPS in-game. So I look into Overclocking app. And what? 3,5GHZ. So I decided to overclock it to 4GHZ. I had 50FPS boost. And everything worked fine. But then, I went to get a lunch. And , When I got back... I saw a Blue Screen. Sadly, I can't read the error message. Because it dissappered.

Any suggestions what to do guys? Nothing, or?

I am not familiar with that unit, can you post a link to it?

When you overclocked your FX-6300, which I own one myself @ 4.3, did you run Prime95 to stress test? Make sure it is Prime95 stable (for at least an hour) and monitor cpu temp on AMDOverDrive.

Update: Unfortunately, your mobo, the Asrock 980DE3/U3S3, is not a good mobo to pair with Fx 8/6xxx CPUs. It lacks sufficient power phase and has no heat sink on VRM for any kind of overclocking. I would advise against overclocking on that mobo.

It is best if you undo your overclocked settings and restore to default...

Reset everything to factory speeds then go to 3.9GHz test your games if it does not work keep going down (3.8, 3.7, 3.6) until you reach a steady clock that does not crash or give blue screens.

You forgot to list your motherboard.

It could be any part in your system that cause the blue screen, but your CPU seems likely since you're trying to overlock it. If you blue screen right when Windows loads, or shortly after, you're not supplying enough voltage to your CPU, and you should increase it by 0.006250 until you get a stable boot. We do need to know what motherboard you're using though, incase it's not safe to overclock on it. :)

It seems you have an temp problem. Do you have an aftermarket CPU cooler or the stock one?

It is best if you undo your overclocked settings and restore to default in BIOS to avoid damaging your hardware. If you insist on keeping a light overclock, then you must increase airflow in your case, ideally have fans on the mobo VRM to keep temps down.

Check out this forum , their solution might be of help to your problem.
