im working on doing a gaming build sometime in novemebr what im wondering is if it would be safe for me to use 2x4 kingston savage 1600 for the first few months then when i can afford to add a 2x8gb set into the mobo...it would be the same speed and brand as the others the only difference would be the size of the ram(2 8gb sticks) compared to the others that are 2 4 gb sticks

It is generally advised not to do that as it can confuse the memory controller in the CPU regardless if they are the same speed and brand. However, people have done it before and it has worked. My opinion, when you add the 2x8GB just use them and remove the 2x4GB sticks. 16GB is more than enough more for most things you use your PC for
