So I've recently been upgrading my PC, and I've finally come to the graphics card (I know nothing about them). Looking for the best graphics card for a budget of around $200. I've recently been playing games like Fallout/Skyrim(Modded) that would help to have a stronger GPU, though am planning on playing Fallout 4 and Battlefront when they release. Also, if I need to upgrade my PSU, please warn me ahead of time before I make my purchase :D .My current build is below:
CPU: i5 4460
GPU: Evga 750ti
RAM: 12gb
Motherboard: ASRock h97 Pro4
PSU: Corsair CX500M
Case: Corsair 230t
Hard Drive: WD 1tb Blue

I have a R9 390 and haven't had any problems with driver crashes or instability or anything like that. I know that Nvidia has better Dx11 optimization but the R9 380's raw power still allows it to trade blows with the GTX 960. AMD vs Nvidia with Dx12 is a whole different story, will be interesting to see how Nvidia responds to AMD's dx12 performance.

The R9 380 is a steal for $150 right now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131674&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

The two best GPUs the $200 range would be the R9 380 and GTX 960. Both perform very similar, but a 380 for that price is pretty nice. Your PSU is not the highest quality, but will work for either of these GPUs.

Thanks for the response! Does 2gb make a huge difference from 4gb? Also, would getting a 4gb model possibly help my machine be more "Future-Proof"

The best card you can get for under $200 is the r9 280x w/ MIR.

after seeing your build I wouldn't recommend it with the psu. Your best options are probably the r9 380 or gtx 960 as stated above.

Big difference now? No, maybe 1-2fps in most games. More future proof? Probably. The GPU core will max out before it can use all 4GB, but 2GB is close to being too little for even 1080p. The 4GB version is more expensive, but worth it imo. The 4GB GTX 960 though, the tiny 128bit memory bus will bottleneck 4GB of VRAM.

So you would say go the path of the r9? Also, I remember reading a while back that drivers were a little messed up for the r9 series. Is this any true, or if so have they been fixed?

Sorry for the late response. Just to make sure we're on the same page, you'd recommend the r9 380 (4gb) and don't think I'll need a PSU upgrade for it?
