I recently bought a new mobo M5A78L-M/USB3 from a M4N75TD and the bios are abit different from each other, but my real question is the VCORE Voltage won't let me change it in the bios like the other motherboard but I found a thing called CPU over Voltage and I was wondering is that what I put up instead, and also do I disable the Cool 'N Quiet because on my other mobo I had to disable it to get the cores to be stable and here's some pictures to show you guys what I'm talking about, and the cpu is going from a x2 to a x4. Also I'm not trying to overlock just trying to unlock the cores, and make them stable.

Thanks,

B.

I'm not sure about your voltage question but you may not be able to get the extra cores stable. I have an M4A78LT-M LE mobo and used the BIOS hot key to let the BIOS unlock cores. It unlocked a third core on a Phenom 2X 555 CPU. After about 4 years I started getting blue screens and other instabilities. After I reset the BIOS and didn't unlock the 3rd core the machine became stable again. I was never able to get the 4th core to work and when I did it manually it wouldn't boot at all so I had to reset the BIOS.

The bottom line is those cores were disabled for a reason and they may never work or they may work for a while and then go unstable. My guess is that raising the voltage will make them heat up even more and that would increase the problem rather than curing it.

I had all my cores stable and running on my other board with no issues.
