Looking to build my first Pc for gaming and lets plays. Trying to teach myself how to build a computer and really not sure what the best components would be to build a gaming pc for around $1500 CAD. I want to hook up and xor mic through a pre amp as well as record game play with my external Elgato capture card HD (not the 60), Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to start a lets play channel on youtube soon.

Advice: You can get a good PCI-E or external sound card especially for your purpose.

ben001 thats amazing thanks but I guess I should have mentioned that I don't plan on doing battle field 4 on ultra high graphics with over 60 fps frankly as long as i can play most things at 30 fps id be glad I'm looking to play Garry's Mod and games off steam so should I invest more in a motherboard and less on my graphics card and I do have some wiggle room that i have set aside for a new monitor keyboard and mouse but I am hoping to find many of these components for this build on sale on black Friday or wait till boxing day if need be I defiantly want the best bang for my buck and want something to last 2-3 years before I have to update.

So long as the motherboard supports all of the features you need, and is at least mid range there really is no reason to spend more on a motherboard other than aesthetics. To be entirley honest capture cards are not as efficient as shadowplay using the GPU's built in h.264 controller. Removing the need for an overkill CPU.

The build listed above will last the next 3-4 years and after that the only needed upgrade to maintain max settings at 1080p would be a newer GPU, that said since your happy with at least 30 stable FPS that card should be able to last at least 6.

So I still have a few questions What is the best way to track the prices on these parts just use PC part picker and if so are their any companies listed there I should avoid I only have an amazon account and other than newer I want to make sure its worth getting my part from that company. Also what operating system should I use can I sub the case for any mid size case such as "Corsair CC-9011048-WW Carbide Series Air 540 Windowed ATX High Airflow Cube Performance Computer Case with White LED Fan - Arctic White" and what sound cards should I be looking at?

The Air 540 is an excellent case and will fit your needs, though I recommend some fans for the top of the case to prevent dust from settling inside.

With current motherboards they don't really make sound cards that offer better audio quality under $800. Just use the sound on the motherboard.

PC part Picker is really the most convenient way to track pricing on components, though a quick google search and some digging may bring better prices.

For you operating system go with Windows 10. There really is no good reason not to.

Any even mid range motherboards sound will match the quality of audio a sub $700 card can produce without the risk of interference. Stick with onboard, the mic and headset you choose are far more important in terms of quality.

One of the best, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236405

Lower price tag, not so many bells and whistles, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160227

The first one is branded the swift isn't it or am I thinking of a different model I really like it and would be willing to shell out the cash but the reviews are a bit of a hit or miss on this model so I'm not sure where the best place to get this would be, I know there is also the Acer XB270HU which is their top make but again i have seen a lot of mixed reviews on this model I read an atrical about the Viewsonic VX2263SMHL which is a much smaller model and only 22-23 inch and 1080 but it is under 200 bucks on NCIX which means o could get a duel or triple set up around 6-700. But I don't much about AOC is that a short hand for accer or asus or is it a brand on its own i have seen a little bit about them but solar the reviews and price look really good and may just be my front runner.

Personally, multi monitor setups tend to be a bit of a waste unless you need real estate for less demanding tasks that need monitoring. At 1440p you already get a great amount of screen real estate and far less clutter.

In my personal experience the swift is an excellent display, only lacking IPS to reduce blur by going with TFT. But the panel is still excellent and unless you do photo editing you are not likely to care for the nominal difference.

Bear in mind with reviews comes timing. The first ones rolling off the line are bound to have issues until the production line is running full bore after some fine tuning. So it's always a good idea to look at the later ones and make a judgement off of that.

That is a good point although I do want to do some editing but I guess I can get a sprat monitor for that. Also I have the money saved up but It seems like the parts in the build suggested above have went way up with black Friday next week is there any new suggestions for a build?
