So! I've been looking farrr and wide for a replacement 8 pin modular GPU connector. I had a 6+2 pin before and accidentally cut one of the cables dropping something on it. So its unusable for my GTX 960 EVGA. So really what I need is a 8 pin male to 8 pin male I can put into my power supply and my graphics card. I mistakenly bought a bixfenix extension thinking it would work.

There is no such thing as a standard cable, the only parts that are standardized are the connections to the motherboard at the tail end. On the PSU side, the pinout that the manufacturer chooses is not at all standardized and any configuration that works is "fair game". I'm assuming this is the Rosewill ARC-M650, so far, through my sources, I can find no pinout info. If you have a multimeter, you can test it to see which pins are 12V and which are ground (only power needed for the PCIe connector and all that should be available to the red header)

They can and have been in the past non standard. Where it plugs into the card is standard but at the PSU they can be whatever they want. It's not that you need the cable, but you need the cable you have fixed? Just take it to a local electronics shop and have them fix it?
