I want to know if it is safe running a Radeon 5570 1GB on a 305W Dell PSU? Do I have enough amps too? Here is a picture of the sticker on the PSU. http://i.imgur.com/ArbrqmP.jpg . The rest of the system is Dell Optiplex 780MT - Core2Duo e8400 3.0ghz, 4GB DDR3 (3 Sticks), 250GB Sata2 HDD, 2 DVD Drives.

It should be fine:

Those guys used a nehalem i7, but in terms of power consumption it should be around the same than your Core2Duo

Are the amps fine too, I read some places that it could cause a bang if theres not enough? Maybe it was the watts? I don't know I just need some clarification because I am really confused about PSUs and all these numbers on them.

Thank you for helping me, didn't want to toast my system. Well....sooner or later I will need a serious upgrade, my setup is dated already :(.

Wait really with 400 bucks I can get a decent system? People were always telling me I needed like 1 grand to get something acceptable. If I knew it was 400 bucks I would have bought a new system already. What parts do you recommend? :)

I recommendo you to get the second one, so you can upgrade more easily later to a better GPU, more hard drives, etc. Thats asuming that you'll reuse your current windows licence or that you're using linux, if not, you'll need to shell out another $90.
