Hello everybody! This is my first post in these forums so please bear with me.

I am new to unlocking/overclocking and I recently found out that my Athlon x3 450 processor can be unlocked to potentially give me access to the fourth core and maybe even l3 cache. I've tried looking up many different instructions to do so but I can't figure out how to do this on my motherboard or if it's even possible. I have an ECS a960m-mv motherboard, and when I enter bios I do not see the ACC option. Is that the only method for attempting to unlock the fourth core of my cpu?, or are there other options I can try? Is there another bios I can load to do it?

Thank you for listening to my question and any help at all is appreciated!!!

I presume you are talking about the Athlon II X3 450. If your CPU is a Deneb (XXXXX AC), it has a disabled 4th core and L3 cache. If your CPU is a Propus (XXXXX AD), it has a disabled 4th core but no L3 cache. The Deneb was based on the Phenom II, the Propus a native Athlon II core.

ACC is the feature required to unlock the ability to enable cores that have been shut down. Unless your board's BIOS has that feature, you cannot unlock the disabled cores. I do not believe your board has that feature.
