Any advantage using beyond 2133 MHz ram on 6600?

Dear Everyone,

I'm about to purchase a PC with
- Intel i5 6600
- G.Skill Ripjaws 4 Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000
- Asus Z170-A mobo

According to intel site, the proccessor only supports memory up to 2133MHz frequency... Should I even buy the one above? Will I get any benefit of it?

Thanks in advance,
A.

Dear NerdyComputerGuy,

Thanks for the info :). However, I want to go deeper. Meaning: If my CPU can't work with a 3000MHz memory and the motherbaord will downclock it to the compatible frequency (which is 2133MHz according to Intel site): I'd be in a position where I bough a 2133 RAM for a price of 3000...
Shouldn't I just buy a 2133MHz RAM with a lower CL for a lower price? Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks in advance,
A

Hi again,

Doesn't matter which memory you get as long as it has more than 1600Mhz.

In my terms :), I'm better off with the 2133MHz sticks? (I'm stressing it because the reduction in memory and henceforth the change in motherboard lowers the overall price of the pc by about 150$ for me)

Thank you very much sir! :)
