Hello all! I'm fairly new to PC gaming. I bought my first PC last year for ~$550 (a CyberPower Gamer edition rig) and have been so unhappy with its performance. I haven't been able to play any of the games that inspired me to start PC gaming due to its awful load times and frame rate. So I think it's time I build a PC of my own that I can be proud of and will allow me to finally delve into the PC gaming world! (Don't worry, I have a knowledgable friend that will help me physically build it)
I've spent about 6+ hours researching hardware for a new PC and I've got a list of the parts I just need to know if they will go together but also if certain components should be replaced for better ones. Please keep in mind that I have around $1000 to spend.

pcpartpicker.com list of my build

I hope to build this computer in February of 2016.

I want a PC that can run games such as BF4, Far Cry 4, Dayz and upcoming games like Star Wars Battlefront at maxed out/near maxed settings in 1080p 60fps. I won't be streaming or video editing, I'll only be playing games

I have an AOC 21.5" 1920x1080 IPS monitor that I'll be using. I might also look into getting another monitor for a dual monitor setup

I want the absolute best hardware I can get for my budget. I just don't know enough about PCs to be able to figure that out on my own. My list has come from videos and forums that I've tweaked to be more affordable/more up to date. Since I've made changes myself It could all be screwed up

Is the Intel i5-6600K the best CPU in this range?

Things I don't want to change: LGA 1151, no more than 8GB of RAM (I just don't think its necessary), must be DDR4, I also really like the case and don't want to spend more than $70 on a case.

I have an disk drive in my current PC that I'll use to install the OS. I have a Windows 8.1 disk that came with my CyberPower PC. Am I going to be able to use that with my new build? On the disk it says "For use with a Licensed CyberPower PC."

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I greatly appreciate any replies and knowledge from everyone and I apologize for my lack of knowledge and confusion.

well you might want to go with 16gb of ram since star wars battlefrount's recommended spec says 16gb.
also change the power supply, to a better brand one such as this one, http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-120g10750xr
otherwise your pc looks good and will achieve good framerates in those games.
also you will proberly need to by windows again, due to it is proberly an OEM version

Okay, thank you for the feedback. How do you feel about the Corsair AX760 power supply? It has a platinum rating and with the rebate it is $100 for a 760W.
Also, I doubled the memory per your suggestion
