Hey guys, i am not the most experienced person when it comes down to networking and i have defiantly not done a QoS before. I work from my PC and require good internet connectivity to do this. I have two daughters that use the same network as i do so the internet can get throttled at some points in the day. I'd like to make my PC a high priority on the network so i can work without stress. At peak times i get around 2.78 Mbps and at low times 90 Kbps. Here is a screenshot of the QoS page. Also i am connecting using a wireless Atheros card.

I don't have a clue what i need to do here so any help would be appreciated! thanks in advance!!

QoS is not a beginner project mostly because you can not solve the problem you actually have with QoS.

In most cases people are complaining about their download speeds. The ISP is in full control of that and they will drop or delay traffic randomly. By the time your router gets involved the data is gone and there is no setting to magically recreate the loss data.

What your router can likely do is somewhat control UPLOAD traffic. It is unlikely that is your problem.

Without a lot of digging it is hard to say if your router has any ability to affect download traffic. Even if it does your bandwidth rates are so low that it will be almost impossible to get a good configuration because of how the traffic rates are calculated.
