need help FX-6300 build

Solution
No worries, the i5 is a good chip, and though I posted it with a B85 motherboard, if you can afford one I would get a Z97, so you have a better upgrade path in the future to an unlocked i5 or i7. The FX8300 I posted is a less commonly known chip because it is usually used by OEMs, but it can be overclocked to perform on par with the FX8350. Also, R9 280x > R9 380 > GTX 960 > R9 280 on average in gaming but the GTX 960 and R9 380 perform about the same usually in gaming with the GTX using less power. For GPU rendering in Vegas: R9 280x > R9 380 > R9 280 > GTX 960.
An i3, would be better overall as you can easily move up intels CPU ladder, i3 i5 i7. Also, the PSU was terrible so, new PSU, which is better in place, a 960. I would recommend a 1tb blue HDD since a 240 gig ssd can easily be fileld up

Wow thanks for the reply, guys! would the 4460 be anything better than the overclocked 6300. I've read some reviews but I really don't have any "real world" experience.

Thanks! Yes, a mech drive is a must but am not prioritizing it now since I can just buy it later when I have the maneh. I just need something that I can work on right now, right away.
