If i get 90% A's on my report card I'll have permission to build a 2K CAD computer. 2K is around 1.5K USD. i'm hoping to do some gaming on it like Witcher 3, fallout 4 or something around those line.

Why 16gb of ram? And why not just get a r9 390x? I don;t think he needs the latest skylake cpu, and there cheaper monitors out there, also the OP didn' mention anytrhing about OS, Monitor, Keyboard, or Headsets to be included in the price so I feel like a lot of performance is wasted

that was the least expensive 1920x1080 IPS monitor. the r9-390x was more than $180 more than the two 380s, which should get similar performance. I have a 390x and a 2560x1440 monitor initially, but it ran up to $2200. As for skylake, as $2000, there's no reason NOT to Skylake
