Hello,
So I'm a little new to overclocking, I recently bought the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme (ZT-90505-10P) and I haven't been able to overclock it that much. I have seen all these other tech websites and other users being able to overclock the card pretty good, and I can barely overclock it at all. I can play a game anywhere from 10-40 minutes and then I get a grey screen freeze and the sound loops, and I have to restart my computer. I am monitoring my temps and the card is definetly not overheating. I even tried putting the fan to 100% to see if that might fix the issue, but no, still crashed, and the max it got was about 60C, which I have read is not bad at all.

Right now I'm stumped, I thought I would be able to overclock it at least a bit more like all the other people have, but I can't seem to.

If I could get help that would be very much appreciated, if you need more details or anything please let me know.

Did you increase the maximum power draw (not voltage but power)?

If you overclock the core / memory without increasing the power draw it will crash.

You have to make sure that if you monitor your stats with a program like MSI afterburner that your core clock is stable and not fluctuating.

How would I go about that? Personally, I am using the Zotac Firestorm utility that came with my graphics card to overclock it. The program has already setup overclock that are supposed to be fine. I increased the the power % to the max which is 111%. I also tried increasing the max volt to +87 but still no go. I recently upgraded my PSU as well to see if that would fix it but it didn't. (new one is 1200watt) I have seen reviewers out there able to get the same card overclocked way higher, and I can't even overclock it at all. Could something else be effecting it?

Thanks, help is VERY much appreciated.
