Frequent LAN Connection Loss With Windows 10

Since I upgraded to Windows 10, I've been experiencing the following:

1. The LAN connection is lost, usually when I stop working on my PC for a period of time. Sometimes after an hour; sometimed in 10 minutes.

2. To recover the LAN connection, I have to unplug/plug the LAN cable several times, with a time interval between unplugging and plugin of over 10 seconds.

3. Once the LAN connection is recovered, it remains active until the next time I need a bathroom rest.

4. Although I've been unable to identify its cause, every time I plug the LAN cable, the PC shows a notice indicating that the previously connected USB device didn't install correctly, like it's detecting the LAN connection as a USB plug.

Other than this, I've had no major problem with Windows 10. Any advice on this is appreciated. Thanks!

You might need to try and update your motherboard drivers.

This is somewhat hit or miss right now because not all motherboard models have released a Windows 10 compatibility update yet, but it sounds to me like your LAN driver isn't configured correctly for the new operating system.

There have been many people having issues with windows 10 and nic card drivers. There is a lot of discussion complaining about power saving setting not working correctly. Make very sure you have drivers that say they support windows 10 from the motherboard manufactures web site. Seems the generic ones in windows 10 do not always work the best.

Hey, Guys. Thanks for the advice. Found no Win 10 drivers for the mobo but found for chipset, Management Engine, and Realtek. After updating those and restarting, the LAN came up with no problem. Will see how it works for next few days. Thanks, once again.
