I replaced my factory wifi card in my Acer 7552G-6061 with an Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN. I don't know WHY or IF it has anything to do with my Ethernet Controller driver not installing.
ISSUE:
1) Plugged in my ethernet cable and no internet connection.
2) Made sure device was enabled.
3) Opened "Device Manager" and in the "Other devices" I see a yellow caution symbol for "Ethernet Controller".
4) Right clicked it and did "Update Driver Software" then "Run Automatic Update". And this is what I keep reading... "Windows was unable to install your Ethernet Controller"
I do have Wifi connection and internet.
I've tried to go to the Acer website to download ethernet drivers manually but no luck to get it to install there either. I don't see an execution file (.exe) in the WinZip folder.
Thanks,
Jake
