i will probably be gaming at 1080p for most of this pcs life cycle, but i might want something that will also perform very well at 2k resolutions. i will be streaming a lot. rendering, and editing images and videos will also be a big part of this pc. i am very scrambled with all of this knowledge and i dont know what to buy anymore at this point because every time i learn about something new, im thinking that i have to have it. if you need any more information about my needs feel free to ask me. thanks.

One thing you should also decide in advance is how you want to manage hard drive space.

Is 250 GB SSD enough? Need another TB of HDD? More? Should it be the "pro" version (lasts longer, more expensive) of Samsung SSDs or the EVO one?
It seems like you are doing a lot of video editing, so maybe more SSD space would be advisable.
This can already make a pretty big difference regarding the rest of your budget.

As of now, I don't know if skylake is worth it, especially if you are also using video editing software I'd rather go with 2011-e as maddogfargo mentioned.
Intel Core i7-5820K is at 378,99$, so a little more than the 6700k and the board will be another 10-20$ more expensive.
