Is Intel core 2 duo or Intel core 2 quad compatible with motherboard Biostar P4M90-M7A?

Solution

No problem, and if you were to use a quad core which is pretty much the standard nowadays you would need to use a different motherboard. I mean that motherboard is limited to two Gb of memory which I can imagine being frustrating tbh. I mean I am not sure what your uses are, or if you are simply modifying an old desktop. If that is the case then I would just personally refit it with a different Power supply, motherboard, RAM, CPU, and maybe a graphics card. I would give you a parts...

I would give you a parts list but I do not know the model or brand so uk. Although if you are building your own PC I am curious to what you want to do with it. I may sound like a prude but idk any task that would call for a duo or anybody who would buy one new, but I may just be ignorant.... that too lmfao. So what exactly are you doing? Refurbishing? If so the budget. Building a cheap rig? If so the budget. Maybe I can offer soon noob to noob help lol

I upgraded RAM to 3GB and i can upgrade it to 4GB and its works very well without any problems but the website of my motherboard says its only support 2GB RAM + Its also says its just support Windows 2000/XP and i'm running Windows 8.1 Enterprise with dual boot (Windows vista home premium) and i installed before Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 and most popular Linux operating systems .... Intel core duo 2 is very similar to my current Processor on MHZ and FSB and its same GHZ as my current Processor also its has same socket which is LGA 775 and both is very easy to be overvclocked and i'm planning to upgrade my PC to play some small games and photoshop designing + i will buy NIVIDA or ATI graphic card too and i found good enough ones :D
