Specifically, I'm talking about Transformers Devastation, but I also have this problem with Spiderman: Web of Shadows. For some reason, the game runs at 60 when I project from my laptop to an hdtv. but it only runs at 40 on my laptop screen. I don't know why it's doing this. It was running at 60fps before today, but it isn't any longer, unless I project to a second screen. I am also unable to record the game via Shadowplay, even though I've already recorded a few short 60fps 1080 videos of it before the problem started. The settings are maxed (except for AA), and in both cases it's running at 1080. I'm running it on an 870m.
Could it have had something to do with me tripping over the HDMI cord and disconnecting it mid-game, causing the game to crash? I don't know if that's when the problem started, but it seems like the only thing that could have caused it.
