I built my PC and this is what it says when I plug in my apple headphones into the microphone jack: http://imgur.com/IQSZbrx

Is there any way that I may be able to fix this and make it the front panel microphone jack? Here are my specs: i3 4160
G skill ripjaws X series 8gb 2x4 DDR3 1600 mhz
Intel HD graphics 4400
Latest realtek drivers installed
Corsair Spec-01 case
Asrock H97 anniversary ATX motherboard lga 1150
New apple iphone 6s headphones (standard headphones that you get with an iphone).

P.S Also, I need to mention that I cannot hear myself talk. I used skype testing service and I can only hear the noise when I blow into the earphones. It does not pick up anything else I say.

Please help, thanks...

Oh, I see. I just built my PC and I am not that tech savvy. Thank you for answering my question. But, would this headset work with my PC? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DU2CHE2?keywords=sades%20sa-708&qid=1444769788&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

If so, do I have to plug it into the front panel or the rear because it only shows that microphone is on the rear jack. When I click FrontMic and under jack information, it says front panel 3.5 mm jack. When I click on microphone, it says rear panel 3.5 mm jack.

Oh alright, I'll take off the side windows and see if I may have misplaced any cables. Thank you for clearing my doubt.

I miss spoke apparently they are both 3.5mm in size. Except one is the phone version is called a TRS connection.

You don't to want to have to adapt. Look for a headset that has separate mic/audio connections for the pc.

Actually, phones use 3.5mm 4 poles jack and pc uses 3.5mm 3 poles jack.
2.5mm is actually bit thinner than 3.5mm jack.
Therefore, I recommend you get a 3.5mm 4 pole to 3.5mm 3 pole splitter
