I've just recently purchased a the parts to finish my PC. I currently have a gtx 750 and a AMD Phenom II X4 925 CPU I got for Christmas this past year. I'm not looking for something to play at max settings 4k, but I would like to play/record Minecraft with heavy mods like FTB Ultimate or something at 60fps. I was looking at an MSI Radeon R9 390 8GB GPU and a fx 6300 (3.5 GHz) or a 8350 CPU (4.0 GHz). I'm sure the most important part you need to know is my PSU (Corsair CX750M) Any help would be highly appreciated :)

Solution
Can't speak to Minecraft but there I can't recommend 4K for any single GPU. YTou said not max settings at 4k but not sure if you men "not max settings " and "not 4k" or just the 1st one.

The PSU should definitely be replaced, CX series are not recommended for gaming / enthusiast machines.

Didn't mean to pick the best solution yet. I'm wanting something that can record mainly Minecraft with and without heavy mods on high settings at 60 fps. I was meaning not max settings and not 4k. What kind of PSU would you recommend then?

If recording and editing, then depending on software used, you might want to consider an X99 based system

The Corsair AX860i is normally ridiculously priced but now is a relatively affordable $160 if ya want something great. A EVGA B2 750 watter can be had for $49 on NCIXUSA and it will handle two 970s....

A 970 is faster than the 390 and 390X at 1080p.... and at 1440p, the 970 overclocked just edges out the 390x overclocked. 8GB is of no use at all at anything below 4k. At up to 1440p, 4 Gb is just fine
