I have two sticks ram 4gb each

I have two sticks ram 4gb each one from transcend and one from Hynix both 1333MHz both are working when insert separately but when both are insert only 4gb of ram is working

Hi Vibhu yadav,

Mixing RAM is never recommended and will often not work. If you want to read a great Tom's article on mixing RAM, here is a link:

Basically there are many reasons why different RAM sticks might not work with eachother, including voltage and CAS differences. The best thing to do if you want to use more RAM in your system is to buy a pack that is exactly what you hope to use. RAM that comes in a package has been tested together at the factory before being shipped to make sure it will work together correctly.
