Hey there guys, I currently am running a i7 870, a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1, Seasonix X750 80+ Gold PSU, Samsung 240GB 850 Evo SSD, WD Black Caviar 1TB, and 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM.
I know that my CPU doesn't match up with my GPU that's cause I was waiting for Skylake to come out, and by December I'll be getting the 6700k.
So my question now is I want to further increase my graphics power as I want to be somewhat "futureproof" for the next upcoming years. My choices were buying another GTX 970 and run it in SLI; sell my GTX 970 and go for a non-reference 980 Ti (probably Gigabyte or Asus); or keep my GTX 970 and close before Pascal comes out sell my 970 and buy a top of the line Pascal GPU. Money isn't really a concern here as I've been saving up for quite awhile. I heard that HBM 2.0 will be a huge increase in performance compared to the current Maxwell architecture. So I don 't really know what to do here. I currently run 3 monitors at 1080p but I'm going to upgrade my main monitor to a 1440p 144hz BenQ monitor. What do you guys think I should do? Help is much appreciated! Thanks!
