Hey All,

I am in kind of a puzzled situation here. Got a new card from Asus from local retailer. Its just a month old but dont know if its due to bad cable management or so, a fan blade from the gpu fan broke off. Took it to service center and am all prepared to handle a "Customer Induced Out of Warranty" blah blah from them. But they havent gave much hope but said to contact them after a week or so to check if there will be a replacement fan or heat sink which I can use for my card.

As for the status of the card, its working perfectly fine but fan is catching air and vibrating a bit when speed around 40% and it gets higher with fan speed. I am gaming with it using the Tweak software by adjusting the fan speed to stay at 40%. I need help to decide a way if the service center is of no help. Ofcourse by voiding the warranty.

1) If the black case around the fan is removed will there be less vibration because the fan spins freely without any brackets around it.
2) Installing a aftermarket cooler for the card. Only option which came up is the Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo II. Since I am from India I am seeing a online site grabmore.in to buy it from.
3) Can the broken fan be removed from the stock cooler and use the remaining one to cool off the card. Fan on the right side of the card is the broken one. Or just turn it off using any programs. As I have checked, they are connected together and works together, so if there is any way past that I can consider it.

Anyones who is using a aftermarket cooler on 970 or Twin Turbo please share your experience.

Thanks a lot :) :)
