Hi all,

I just updated my old computer with 4gb or DDR2 and a SSD.

It works perfectly fine for everything but the video games :sarcastic:

You can find a capture of my configuration here > https://drive.google.com/thumbnail?id=0B4CdqZ29WpxgOFdHSGpoV2k3blotSUR4NC04YjZXcW9Fc01r&authuser=0&v=1444826756539&sz=w522-h390-p-k-nu

I was wondering if buy a more recent graphic card would change anything or if is it my whole computer that is outdated ?

And if it would give it a real boost, what kind of pci express 1.0 (or 2.0) graphic card would you recommend ?

It's been long since I was up to date on those subject

A big thanks for any help !

I would suggest increasing the ram to 6-8gb if possible, and a graphics card like the GTX 750 ti would be a reasonable match, this would be able to play a huge number of games, except the newest AAA titles.

Ultimately, upgrading to a newer i5 with DDR3/4 ram would be a good option but would cost a lot more.

I can tell you one thing for sure, your pc is definitly outdated.
DDR2, we use DDR3/4 these days. IF you really want some new gaming experience.
I would recommend getting a whole new build for your pc. If you can affort it ofcourse.
You can add a videocard to this setup, but i can tell you its a waste of money at this build.
If you need help you can PM me, Goodluck
