Will this decrease the load on an underclocked RAM?

I have a board [2 ram slots] with a 2GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM, my board supports upto 1333+MHz(O.c) freq.

If I add a kingston hyperx fury 8gb 1866mhz ram alongside the 2GB ram, total ram = 10GB
and both rams will run at 1333mhz

will that 2gb ram be of any kind of benefit?
Or will it be an imbalanced setup? or a foolish setup? :p

I would like a proper explanation, no one liners please.

Thank you :)

If it works,(possibly, it will not) you will have 10gb, that is nothing but good.
Only 2gb of each bank will run in dual channel mode.
All ram will run at the lower 1333 speed.

My suggestion is to abandon your 2gb stick and buy a supported 8gb kit of 2 x 4gb 1866 ram.
Ram must be matched which is why it is sold in kits. A 2 stick kit is usually a touch more expensive, but being able to run in dual channel mode is really worth it.
