Hey, I am getting low fps across all of my games on my gaming pc. I am totally out of ideas now on what the problem could be, it is not temps, GPU doesn't ever go above 40-45C when being stress tested, the CPU doesn't go above 50C under stress too. My drivers are all up to date and i have just uninstalled all drivers and reinstalled them to make sure it was not 2 versions of the drivers fighting over control.

my specs are:

GPU: AMD Raedon R9 270x
CPU: AMD FX 8350 4.0-4.2 Ghz
RAM: 16BG DDr3 2400
PSU: 1KW Power Zone Be quiet
Then a Hyper X 128GB SSD + 2TB HDD

PLEASE HELP MEEE!!!!

Solution
low power state #1 is 3.4ghz
low power state #2 is 2.8ghz
low power state #3 is 2.1ghz
low power state #4 is 1.4ghz

It usually goes straight to 1.4ghz under load. Do what cosmo77 said and you'll see.

For example, I play a lot of League of Legends, I have recently build a PC for a friend and his build is rather similar to mine (Different mobo and slightly better GPU) and he will get between 250-300 fps, even with my mobo beening crap and gpu being slightly worse i should still get more than 100, maybe 150 but i will get a consistent 50-55 while out of combat but less than 15 when in a team fight. Basically nothing runs at 60 FPS and the graphical setting in game don't seem to make any difference at all (when i say seem i mean like literally nothing, maybe 2 or 3 fps between high and low on anything)

It's officially compatible with your parts, but it's not REALLY compatible with your cpu. What I'm trying to say is, it is not good enough to run a 125w cpu at 100%. You are experiencing heavy throttling under load which is killing your performance. I guarantee you that your FX8350 is spending most of it's time in it's low power states. That would explain why your temps are fine which I'm sure you were going to state next.

Bottom line, you cannot put a 125w cpu in a crap motherboard.

If i was to upgrade the Mobo then you think that would fix it? Its also close looped water cooled so it would not really overheat anyway. Is there anyway i can push more power though it without getting new motherboard, don't wanna have to spend more money on that if it can be avoided

Try running Prime95, OCCT or your favorite cpu stress tester and see what your frequency does. You should be able to see if it is throttling. Leage is a fairly cpu dependent game but even with that mobo I personally don't think that is your issue.

i agree with @CTurbo. your cpu wont overheat, however most probably your mobo vrm will. don not oc, try stresstesting with turbo core off , cool & quiet enabled and since your mobo is a prior release to the FX make sure you are running 1401 bios or newer . if you still have problems then you defenately need to get a better one.

You seem unfortunately be correct :( While i was running Prime95 the clock speed was going down to 1.4ghz
