I am building my first PC in the Define R5 from Fractal Design. I had just finished building and set everything up ready to boot it when I noticed; shouldn't the powerbutton light up blue? I tried pressing it. Nothing happened. I checked my motherboards (Asus z170 pro gaming) manual to see I had put the cables for the front I/Oin the right spots. And I had. Exept: There was one cable missing. I had the HDD_LED, PWR_SW, RESET_SW, PLED+ and PLED–. According to my mobo's manual there should also be an PLED± (+ and – in one cable).

Could that be the reason it won't boot?

If not, then what could it be? Feel free to ask if there was anything I left out.

No, an LED is just a light. Has nothing to do with booting. And the single PLED+ and PLED- don't have to be in one cable, so that is your Power light.

something is wrong though if it's not booting.

EDIT: Is the power switch on the back of the PSU switched. That happens sometimes, the PSU is off on the back of the PC.

Also, do you get any lights on the motherboard.

The motherboard is lighting and it stops lighting when I turn off the power supply, so it is being powered, just won't boot.
