I've noticed that most of AMD laptop CPU's don't have an L3 cache at all, but instead boast much larger L2 caches. How does that affect the gaming and overall work? The only AMD CPU i came in contact with was the A4-5100 which was surpisingly responsive and perhaps even better at multi-tasking than the i3 i'm having right now (it did never experience a lag or the slightest freeze).
However, while the i3 is able to play GTA 4 at 30+ fps, the AMD was barely able to pull it.
So what's your opinion in comparing those two architectures, what are the bad and the good sides of each and which one you would opt for for a balanced gaming vs. work and multitasking overall experience?
