I'll try to give as much info as possible.

New to the forum and just registered. I have a Samsung R540 not sure of the actual model because it only says "R540" on the bottom. I believe it is a R540 JA03 because of the specs resembling that of the laptop.

- It is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit (so I know 8GB can be installed).

- The laptop can handle 8gb RAM but every time I place it in I get an error message. Then when I go back to the original RAM and it boots up, no problems.

Laptop: SAMSUNG R540 JA03 [Unsure]:

RAM Used: [DUAL CHANNEL]
ADATA AD3s1333w4g9-b (2x4GB DDR3 1333MHz)

Problem:
Upgraded RAM with ADATA 2x4 8GB Kit [1333MHz]

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit! - WILL NOT BOOT!!

I get this error message every time, I try to boot with the new RAM installed:

ALSO! THE BIOS PICKS UP AND SEES THAT THE RAM IS THERE [8192MB SLOT 1: 4096MB SLOT 2: 4096MB]

Things I've Already Tried:
- Update BIOS (Newest Version)
- Reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

Possible solutions?:
- Underclock RAM?, I believe that the current RAM is 2x2GB DDR3 [1066MHz]

it begins to loop over and over again, from my samsung bios menu back to the options where it makes me pick the 2 again. It will not get past, i've tried that as well as safe mode and other advanced function but nothing
